(Note, this advice is personal to each individual. Some tips may suit you, while others may not. It is important to try out your clothing in advance of the MDS):
- Wear an arm sleeve and a damp scarf under your cap
- Choose technical, short, and comfortable clothing
- Lightweight & breathable clothes that dry quickly
- You need to be comfortable in your clothes
- Plan for clothes for the night
- Bring a windbreaker
- Bring spare underwear and socks
- Don’t forget gaiters
- One outfit for both running and bivouac may be sufficient depending on individual needs
- Clothing should fit perfectly to the body to avoid chafing
- Do your training in the outfit
- Bring leggings for the evening
- Prefer clothes with multiple pockets to distribute the load
- Opt for high-quality technical clothing
