How many participants are there at the MDS?

There is no fixed maximum capacity for MARATHON DES SABLES editions. The total number of participants we can accommodate varies depending on several logistical factors, most notably the capacity of the hotel booked before the race.

In general, our MARATHON DES SABLES events welcome between 300 and 1,200 participants, depending on the destination.

This is why no specific registration closing date is set in advance : an edition may remain open for several months, or fill up quickly depending on demand.
When the maximum capacity is close to being reached, we always inform our community a few days in advance via our social media channels and newsletter.
