Who is it for?
The Medical Patrol is aimed at general practitioners, sports doctors, anaesthetists, emergency physicians, rescue coordinators, nurses, first aiders (PSE2, SUAP, DEA), holders of a diploma such as PHTLS ATLS ATCN ACLS AMLS.
My role as a Medical Patrol:
Being part of the Medical Patrol means being a runner or walker like no other.
The medical teams will give you the first aid kit that you will carry in your bag during the stages. In order not to overload you, you will leave part of your MDS equipment at the bivouac in exchange.
You will wear a special orange "Medical Patrol" number, which will allow other participants to identify you easily. You will have a role of monitoring and relaying the medical teams on the course.
Your life on the bivouac and during the race will be the same as the other participants, it is only during the race that you will have your mission of surveillance, alert and first aid intervention if necessary. You will be able to live the MDS at your own pace and get your finisher medal.
